Drop your raw clip here
or · MP4, MOV, WebM
Your video stays on your computer. The first time, Offcut downloads its speech model (~200 MB) and keeps it for next time.
Offcut needs Chrome or Edge on a computer. Phones and this browser can't make videos yet.
Turn a raw clip into a Short in one go.
Offcut cuts your pauses, reframes your video to vertical, follows your face, and adds animated word-by-word captions. Then you download a ready-to-post MP4.
How it works
- Drop your clip. A talking video filmed on your phone or webcam works best.
- Pick a style. Choose how tightly to cut pauses and how your captions look. Click any word to fix it.
- Download. You get a 1080×1920 MP4 for TikTok, Reels and YouTube Shorts.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. Your computer does the work, so Offcut costs almost nothing to run. Optional Pro caption styles will help support it.
Why does it need a computer?
Making video takes power. Chrome and Edge on a computer can do it entirely on your machine; phone browsers can't yet.
Where does my video go?
Nowhere. It is read and processed inside this browser tab. Only the speech model is downloaded, once.
It's slow on my computer.
Turn on "Use graphics acceleration when available" in Chrome settings (System), then restart Chrome. Offcut then uses your graphics card.
